Extra Curricular clubs

Clubs provide children with a fantastic opportunity to enrich and enhance their learning experiences. We offer a range of clubs, which allow children to follow their interests, or experience something for the first time. All clubs can be booked via the Arbor App.  

 

 

Booking Club Places 

Registering a child for a club using the Arbor app or the Parent Portal is a simple process. Please note, if it is your first time logging into the Parent Portal, you will need to confirm the child’s date of birth before being granted access.

Fencing Club

Fencing club provided a unqiue mix of physical, mental and social stimulation. Musketeers Education programmes excel at teaching children the art of friendly confrontation and conflict resolution in a safe, meaningful way. Inspired by the Olympic sport of fencing, we aim to create a holistic approach to early-child skills development.

The sports highly strategic, disciplined and physical nature - both on an individual and team level - requires gross and fine body coordination while, strategising, concentrating, being creative and resilient. Musketeers Education instils these skills with the creation of our sequenced content of exercise delivered to instructors for proctoring through our state of the art platform.

Junior Duke

Junior Dukes is an award scheme inspired by the Duke of Edinburgh Award and aimed at primary students that encourages the development of valuable life skills. Challenges include mastering skills such as first aid, ICT, art, drama, music, sport, cookery, amongst a variety of other experiences. The skills gained through taking part in the Duke Awards are valuable for pupils both in school and in later life. Pupils will gain confidence, independence, resilience and adaptability when embarking on the challenges within each level. In Arts and Crafts Club we will explore the work and life of a different artist each week and create our own work of art inspired by them. We will begin by learning about the artist, the movement that they were part of, and the techniques that they used, before trying them out ourselves!

 

The aim of this club will be to encourage the children to engage with a variety of artists and to create artworks inspired by them, their style and their subject matter. They will learn about artistic movements and their associated techniques which they will be able to try out in their own artworks. Wee Movers

 

Founded by Fiona Campbell, Wee Movers offers playful, energetic children’s dance and yoga classes in east London and beyond. Combining contemporary dance with yoga, the classes are a fun introduction to movement where children are encouraged to explore and express themselves in a warm and supportive environment. 

 

Sessions include a warm-up to music, gentle stretches, storytelling and adventures, imagery, games, dance techniques and lots of opportunities for children to create their own movement.

Dancing Mindfulness

Truefitt Collective are partnered with The Institute for Creative Mindfulness and exclusively deliver Dancing Mindfulness workshops to Primary Schools in the UK.

 

Artistic Director, Kasia Truefitt has undertaken training with Dr Jamie Marich in London and Los Angeles and Truefitt Collective have partnered with the Institute to exclusively offer Dancing Mindfulness to Primary Schools in the UK.

 

In our Dancing Mindfulness clubs, children learn and practice Mindfulness skills that can be used in everyday life, while also engaging in creative dance as a means of introducing, experiencing, and deepening their understanding of Mindfulness.  

 

The aim is to teach children about mindfulness and movement exercises that help reduce stress and anxiety and give them tools to understand and manage their emotions.

Neon Arts & Craft

Glo Glo Kidz is a creative drawing class in UV light! By using reactive arts materials, the children can see the reaction to the light as they draw. The class specialises in creative techniques. Each class will have a different theme such as pointillism or continuous line drawing, learning traditional techniques in a new fun way. 

 

Only highlighters will be used in the class on paper. No liquid based arts supplies. Scissors and glue sticks will be used during some classes. 

The UV light is LED stage lighting.
