Applying for a Reception place for September 2027

If your child was born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023, they are due to start in the Reception class at a primary school from September 2027. You must apply for a Reception class place for your child even if they attend a school nursery or have an older brother or sister at your preferred school. If your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school, this does not give them any priority for a place in Reception at that school.

The eAdmissions website for online applications opens in September 2026, and the national closing date for primary school applications will be 15th January 2027.
